How to Reach Lakshadweep
By Air: The nearest international airport is Cochin, 408 km from Lakshadweep. Agatti has the only airport in Lakshadweep, with flights to Cochin, Kozhikode, Bangalore, and Goa. Helicopters connect Agatti to Kavaratti and Bangaram.
By Water: Ships from Cochin to Lakshadweep take 14 to 20 hours, including MV Arabian Sea, MV Dweep Setu, MV Kavaratti, MV Bharat Seema, MV Minicoy, MV Lakshadweep Sea, and MV Amindivi Sea.

- Carry your preferred brand of medicines, cosmetics, cigarettes, etc., as only ordinary varieties will be available on the island.
- Only BSNL and Airtel networks are available.
- Don’t forget to carry enough cash, as ATM availability is limited in this underdeveloped area.
- Alcohol is prohibited in Lakshadweep.
- The deliberate harming of corals is a punishable offense. Do not throw any plastic items into the sea, as it affects our ecosystem.
- Carrying prohibited drugs and narcotics into Lakshadweep is a punishable offense.
- Plucking coconuts without permission is a punishable offense.
- Swimming or sunbathing nude is prohibited.
- Do not pluck tender coconuts yourself.
